S's First Steps

Here he is, our S! These are not his actual first steps (you can read about those here). But now that he's getting really brave--AND really proud of himself AND excited!--we can now capture his halting steps for posterity. This was taken over the weekend, which is when he started taking two and three or more steps together with no help (so virtual baby book note: two weeks shy of his 1st b-day, S steps out!).

P.S. For those interested, well-hearing parties, enjoy the background second-string dialogue, courtesy of P playing in the bathtub and realizing something. At least you couldn't hear what he was doing in the video.

Good job Sam!
Seems like yesterday that someone also in the movie here was learning to walk. ;)

As I was watching this I realized I had launched into a full hum-along using, of course, Chariots of Fire, as the musical score for Sam's first steps. Just so very inspirational - the cadence, the gait, the arm movements. HURRAH!

I must add that as my word verification would suggest, this is a very "unmoses" moment for Sam. Not sure what that means, just can never get over the unintended thought patterns that word verification brings to mind.

Thanks for the comments! As of today, he's walking 10-15 feet by himself--crazy how fast they go from staggers to, well, walking!

G&G: keep screaming and cheering! He loves an audience (even when he's not aware of it)!

Anon: so sweet. They do grow up fast, don't they? :)

Luann: Yay COF! One of my favs! Now the theme will play in my head every time he starts his little treks. And don't you LOVE word verification? Someone should do a sociological study on that. :)
